My concentration is about my love for food and baking. Food is livelihood. I believe that people have a deep connection to food, the process of growing, preparing, making, and enjoying it. I use light and color to capture the joy and art of foods. I also use emphasis, rule of thirds, movement, and shape to draw the viewer into the process and love in the food. In the end of my concentration I explore the idea that in the industrialized world food lacks love and causes people harm.
Make sure you post the last day of class each week so I know what you did the entire week. I think your concept is interesting. I'm not sure the figures add to the images. The portrait images are extremely centered. I would try to create more interesting poses and compositions if you are going to integrate the figure. Your self portrait is an exciting integration of food with the figure.
